Tom Cruise’s Mission Impossible outburst dresses down crew in expletive filled rant

  • Tom Cruise’s Mission Impossible outburst full of rage and expletives

  • Cruise threatens to fire staff breaking coronavirus restrictions on set

  • Various opinions have been expressed on Twitter

  • This is not the first time Cruise has expressed outlandish behaviour

Tom Cruise’s Mission Impossible outburst puts crew firmly in their place after he witnessed them breaking Covid-19 safety measures on set. The actor erupted in an explosive dressing down of the team for not adhering to the strict guidelines and potentially putting not only the cast and crew at risk but the movies entire production.

On the set of “Mission Impossible 7” was recorded, against his knowledge, erupting in anger over the crews continued treatment of coronavirus restrictions on set with the less than serious or consistent respect to the seriousness of the pandemic.

On the recording, which was release by The Sun on Tuesday, December 15, he can be clearly heard shouting, ““We are creating thousands of jobs,”

He continued, “I don’t ever want to see it again! Ever! And if you don’t do it, you’re fired!”

It is understood that Cruise witnessed a number of the film crew crowded round a monitor when the current production restrictions require them to stay six feet apart at all times. The star tore through the crew making it exceptionally clear in an expletive filled rant that should he witness a breaking of the Covid-19 set measures again then the offending individuals would be immediately out of work.

Production on the movie has been halted on a number of occasions due to the coronavirus pandemic however most recently it was paused when 12 members of the crew on location in Italy tested positive for Covid-19 in October.

Cruise’s anger was directed at approximately 50 crew members at a Warner Bros. film production complex in Leavesden, northwest of London.

On the recording Cruise can be heard shouting: “I don’t ever want to see it again, ever! And if you don’t do it, you’re fired, if I see you do it again, you’re fucking gone. And if anyone in this crew does it – that’s it, and you too and you too … don’t you ever fucking do it again.”

“That’s it! No apologies. You can tell it to the people that are losing their fucking homes because our industry is shut down. It’s not going to put food on their table or pay for their college education.”

Cruise is particularly proud of how the seventh instalment of Mission Impossible, a saga that has been almost continually in one stage of production or another for 26 years, is coping with the coronavirus pandemic and showing the rest of Hollywood that it is possible to continue to make big budget films during a global pandemic whilst remaining safe.

He made this clear in no uncertain terms during his tirade, shouting, “I’m on the phone with every fucking studio at night, insurance companies, producers, and they’re looking at us and using us to make their movies. We are creating thousands of jobs you motherfuckers … Movies are going because of us. If we shut down it’s going to cost people fucking jobs, their home, their family. That’s what’s happening.”

While the expletive filled rant may be another display of Cruise’s extreme and often over-the-top personality, members of the public have taken to social media to support both the rationale for his anger and also to applaud the fact that he chose to do it himself rather than have one of the members of his staff do it for him.

Tiffany Cross, Host of The Cross Connection on MSNBC and author of “Say It Louder!” took to Twiiter, saying, “I’m not mad at #TomCruise or the #tomcruiserant. That’s all. Take this s–t seriously. The air can kill you. #COVID19”

However, as you would expect, many on the internet also took it as the perfect opportunity to bring some light-hearted joy into our lives.

With Christmas fast approaching, English comedian, actor and television presenter, Sanjeev Bhaskar, tweeted, “So #TomCruise has totally sorted out how I’m going to deal with the family over Christmas if they don’t follow our house safety rules.”

And finally, of course, there was the section of the internet who took it as an immediate opportunity to make it into a political statement.

One twitter user from the UK wrote, “@BorisJohnson could learn something from this guy! Clear, passionate instructions! Something this country hasn’t had from its government since the start of this pandemic! #TomCruise #CoronaVirusUpdates”

Despite people’s opinions, good, bad, or ugly, it is not unusual for us to get outlandish off-screen moments from Mr Cruise. He is quite experience in making a show of himself, usually for the audience’s pleasure, whether it appears that way or not.

Possibly his most memorable moment was the time he declared his love for Katie Holmes on Opray by jumping up and down on the sofa like a rabid monkey with ants in its pants. The entire bizarre event overtook the entire reason he was on the show to become one of his most memorable televised moments which he later parodied himself on the Jay Leno Show.

Mission Impossible 7 is slated for release in November 2021.
