Others have also taken the opportunity to shine a spotlight on the issues of cyberbullying with users taking the opportunity to highlight Nelson’s treatment during her time in the band by online trolls and critics of the band and emphasised the fact that she is giving up on her life’s dream career because of the devastating and irresponsible actions of others.
@ShadyMixerFacts wrote, “Jesy did not leave Little Mix for attention. She sacrificed her dream of being on stage with her best friends and finally chose herself first after being bullied by the media and people for literally 9 years.”
“This is the beginning of her journey to healing.”

I love you so much Jesy, you are the absolute best. It hurts to know that you are no longer in Little Mix, but either ways, I will always support and love you.”

In October 22019, Nelson released a documentary in collaboration with the BBC entitled “Odd One Out”. The documentary was a raw and emotional admission of the struggles that Nelson had suffered with mental health issues as the result of ongoing cyberbullying.
“Odd One Out” was an intimate, personal documentary, that enabled Nelson the opportunity to exclusively reveals the many impacts that online trolls had on her mental health as she underwent a journey of rehabilitation. The documentary, however, unintentionally, foreshadowed Nelson’s eventual departure from the band, highlighting the continuing struggle that Nelson faced with mental health, body image and her position within the band. The show even highlighted that her situation got so uncontrollable for her that she made an attempt to take her own life.
While it is far too early to express whether Jesy will ever undergo a reunion with the group, once she is in a more secure and peaceful place in her life, the band has clearly expressed that their tour, planned for 2021, will still go ahead.
